Passed the Recovery for the Economy, Livelihoods, Industries, Entrepreneurs and Families (RELIEF) Act to provide emergency economic support to the thousands of Marylanders and Maryland businesses striving to overcome the impacts of the pandemic.

Allocated over $5.2 billion in fiscal 2022 capital funding that will support thousands of infrastructure jobs and will support the development of vital projects in communities across the State.

Prioritized equitable wealth creation and passed legislation based on recommendations from the Senate President’s Advisory Work Group on Equity and Inclusion that expands access to capital, economic opportunity, and wealth for small, minority, and women-owned businesses.

Passed the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future to fundamentally transform and invest in Maryland public schools to compete with the best systems across the globe

Envisioned a 21st Century economy and modernized approaches to economic development through an enhanced Regional Institution Strategic Enterprise Zone program and a workgroup to examine manufacturing through a digital economy lens.
