Legislative Wins

Passed a comprehensive package of police reform bills to restore trust, transparency, and accountability in policing, including increasing transparency and public involvement in the disciplinary process, establishing independent investigations for police-involved deaths, and increasing the use of body-worn cameras.

Required Maryland’s case search to remove minor marijuana charges to decrease barriers to becoming employed.

Established consistent compensation of wrongly convicted and incarcerated Marylanders.

Ensured that women and their families are given the resources they need as they reenter their communities through equitable access to pre-release services.
